I've been taking lots of pictures, at least a roll of 35mm a month. But I've been quiet on here. So here are a couple of pictures from a walking weekend in Wales during the middle of last month.
Over the last couple of weeks I've shot a two rolls of C41 black and white film in Birmingham. The same camera and the same sort of grey day. I was interested to see the difference in contrast and grain between the Kodak C41 film (the first photo) and the Ilford C41 version (the second photo). I prefer the Ilford XP2 Super black and white for C41 which I can get processed locally in an hour. It's much more like a traditional Ilford HP5 black and white which I've used before, but I have to it send away and takes ten days to process.
Took these two with my 40-year-old OM1 in April this year, the first is the BT Tower in Birmingham with a yellow filter. Must do something about the white stripe across the picture. Think it's something on the blind. Any ideas?

The second was taken when I was in Buckinghamshire inside the folly at Wrest Park. A nice shot which a very good friend had framed and now and sits on my study wall.
I went down to Devon on Sunday to see my Mother. Early in the evening I walked along the Otter Estuary and spotted these two in the distance. It was a grey day and I took this shot on my DSLR with a 300mm lens and the image set to B&W.
It's never as good as a "real" black and white film such as the ones shot with my OM1 in my previous post.
This week I scanned some of the B&W pictures that I took with my OM1 earlier this year. I was experimenting as I hadn't used a film-camera for over 20 years.
When I was in London a couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon this sign between Oxford Street and Wigmore Street. It took me a few seconds to realise what it was about, so I snapped it with the camera on my phone. It reminded me that nowadays you always have a camera with you.
After April showers this morning the sun came out and I walked over the fields locally. Couldn't resist this shot, especially as it will be St George's Day next week.
