Experimenting with C41 Black and White Film

Over the last couple of weeks I've shot a two rolls of C41 black and white film in Birmingham. The same camera and the same sort of grey day. I was interested to see the difference in contrast and grain between the Kodak C41 film (the first photo) and the Ilford C41 version (the second photo).

I prefer the Ilford XP2 Super black and white for C41 which I can get processed locally in an hour. It's much more like a traditional Ilford HP5 black and white which I've used before, but I have to it send away and takes ten days to process.
